GOSHEN, Ind. - It was just a penalty kick and a goal in the final minute before halftime that made the difference in a 2-0 contest that Goshen lost on Homecoming Weekend to #17 Indiana Wesleyan. The Wildcats are 3-0-1 in the Crossroads League and 8-2-2 overall.
The two goals are the fewest Goshen has allowed against IWU since 2019. The Wildcats put up 27 total shots but just ten were on target. Goshen had three of their five total shots on frame.
Aina Lopez made eight saves for the Leafs.
Madalyne Swallow, Karitas Arnardottir and
Sophia Yoder took Goshen's shots on goal and
Anita Tavares had two shots as well. There were no yellow cards on either team.
With three consecutive ranked opponents behind them, Goshen has three road contests in a row next. GC is at Mount Vernon Nazarene on Saturday, October 12, at 4:00 pm.
