SAU stays unbeaten in league, trips up Leafs

GOSHEN, Ind. — Spring Arbor University opened the scoring with a goal after 3 minutes and 46 seconds and never let Goshen College back in the game with a 2-0 women's soccer win Wednesday night at GC's John Ingold Athletic Complex.

Morgan Marshall scored the opener and added a second strike after 15:12 to make it 2-0.

The Cougars (6-3-4, 2-0-3) held the Maple Leafs to 2 shots, taking 15 of their own in the game. Katie Baer made 6 saves to pace GC while Samantha Tracy added a pair for Spring Arbor.

Goshen (6-6, 1-4) got its shots from Taliah Borom and Beatriz Meneghin.

The Maple Leafs continue their home schedule on Saturday against Huntington University. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. in the final Saturday home game of the season.
