Box Score GOSHEN, Ind. — Colin Flowers scored 14 points to pace the Goshen College men's basketball team Tuesday night in an 82-68 loss to Huntington University in Crossroads League action at Gunden Gymnasium.
The Maple Leafs' two seniors each scored in double figures, as Ben Cotton added 12 points and Tanner Camp scored a career-high 10 on 4-of-4 shooting. Goshen (4-21, 0-13) finished with a 23-6 edge in points in the paint.
On the other end of the spectrum, all 12 of Cotton's points came from 3-point land, from which he took all eight of his shots. Goshen shot 36 percent both inside and outside the arc, going exactly 12-for-33 in each subset.
The Foresters (14-13, 6-9) put only three players in double figures, but all three of them reached 20 points. Andrew Yoder scored 23, Caleb Middlesworth had 22 and Peyton West recorded 20. West also led the team with 8 rebounds, outpacing Yoder by one.
Tahj Curry led all players with 9 rebounds for the Maple Leafs; he joined Michael Bowers with a team-high 3 assists.
Huntington shot 52 percent overall and 41 percent from long distance. The Foresters also accumulated edges of 38-33 in rebounds and 33-23 in points in the paint.
Each team finished with 10 free throw attempts, 9 assists and 7 turnovers, but Huntington turned Goshen's turnovers into 14 points. The Maple Leafs managed 7 under similar circumstances.
Huntington led 46-36 at halftime after pulling ahead by as many as 20 in the first half; Goshen would get as close as four points in the second period.
Goshen hits the road Saturday to begin its final multi-game road trip of the season, visiting second-ranked Indiana Wesleyan before traveling to Taylor next Tuesday. Saturday's tip-off is set for 3 p.m. inside Luckey Arena after the women's game at 1 p.m.
